Quality Management and Procedures

Quality Systems

Responsive operates a common QMS (Quality Management System) throughout the Group and each business has its own quality manager. This ensures there is complete ownership of quality at Company level. At Group level, a Group Quality Manager co-ordinates their efforts, facilitates monthly review meetings and manages external relationships, for example with BSI in order to maintain BS EN ISO 9001:2000.

Measurement of quality (as defined by internal and external reject rates) is another KPI and customer feedback is reviewed monthly as part of continual development of our QMS.

Responsive is registered with "First Point" and supports customer QA programmes including Six Sigma.

Customer Approvals

Responsive Engineering Group welcomes audits by its major customers & partners. Vendor approvals have been obtained by a number of major OEMs including Siemens, Sulzer and Airbus.

Environmental Management

Responsive has a formal environmental management policy, and regularly reviews all of its legal consents and permits.

Health & Safety

Responsive has well established and understood Procedures and Policies for H&S and enjoys an excellent record for safety and welfare of employees. Each of the four businesses has its own health and safety manager, and their activities are co-ordinated by a Group Health & Safety Manager.

The Company is also well versed in operating to stringent H&S regimes when working on site projects and again enjoys an excellent reputation for safe working and compliance.

Training & People Development

National Training Awards

Apart from the normal skills development and apprenticeship schemes, Responsive believes strongly in investment in the training and management development of people at all levels within the business. This ensures that they can communicate clearly and effectively with our customers and gain a good understanding of their needs and requirements. Responsive was a "National Training Awards" winner in October 2004
